You will receive Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for the courses on this site. However, we are in the process of attaining ASHA approved CEU provider status. As a result, per ASHA requirements we have added a field asking for your ASHA number, address, and phone number upon sign up. These fields are optional at this time. They will become mandatory once we attain ASHA CEU provider status. A PDH is a unit of continuing education that is recognized by ASHA. Valeria Krivelevich, M.A. CCC-SLP, BCS-S is a Board Certified Specialist in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders and holds a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She is a graduate of Montclair State University with a Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from Rutgers University. Throughout her career, Valeria has worked in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, university acute care hospitals, inpatient acute rehabilitation centers, an inpatient traumatic brain injury center and skilled nursing facilities. She has developed FEES (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) and Videostroboscopy programs in several New York otolaryngology medical practices. Valeria has been an adjunct professor at Yeshiva University where she taught the Dysphagia, and Head & Neck Cancer graduate level courses, as well as a visiting lecturer at Montclair State University on the topic of the Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). She has also been a clinical instructor on the hands-on application and interpretation of the Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing as part of a series of continuing education courses.
